The National Archives Experience is a great way to bring what is being taught in the classroom to life. There are vast amounts of photos that cover a wide range of topics while connecting those images to similar images concerning similar topics.

Fast Math is a program that reviews addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Fraction Nation is a program that recognizes the pre-knowledge of the student and teaches fractions from the point where they are to fluency in fractions.

FreeRice.com is a website that covers language, science, math, and language arts. The website offers multiple choice questions and rewards the player with ten rice for each right question. The rice also goes toward feeding starving nations.

Jefferson County School District created a website where teachers can post websites that can help current teachers with their math classes. Each type of class has multiple websites listed underneath each heading.

IXL is a website intended to assist homeschooling parents with their students. Each grade has a list of required subjects that include interactive problems.

Word Sift is a program where students can insert a section of a text (ex. Gettysburg Address, I Have a Dream speech, etc) and find specific definitions and synonyms of words in the texts.

When teaching about science and space, the best organization to go to is NASA. Their website covers grades from elementary to high school. This website is meant to just assist the classroom.

Arithmetic Four was used in one of my practicum classes. They used this game to strengthen math facts while having fun with competition. Using a "Smart Board" gives a little more excitement to the game.

Jefferson County Schools posted a website that lists many interactive online games and activities that can be used in the classroom or outside the classroom. These resources are helpful to fill time in the classroom, and to encourage students to do extracurricular education at home.
